Character Education and Civic Engagement Technical Assistance Center (CETAC)
Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education, CETAC Online provides State program administrators, local educators, and the public with information on character education and civic engagement, as well as strategies that support academic goals and other reform efforts

Educational Resource Information Center (ERIC)
F unded by the U.S. Department of Education's Institute of Education Sciences, ERIC is a national information system that provides access to education literature and resources.

National Clearinghouse for Educational Facilities—Disaster Preparedness for Schools
This clearinghouse provides a list of links, books, and articles on building or retrofitting schools to withstand natural disasters and terrorism, developing emergency preparedness plans, and using school buildings to shelter community members during emergencies.

National Clearinghouse for Alcohol and Drug Information (NCADI)
Offers current information and materials concerning alcohol and substance abuse prevention, intervention, and treatment. Includes youth substance abuse prevention materials and resources. A service of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s Center for Substance Abuse Prevention.

National Criminal Justice Reference Service
This clearinghouse contains publications produced by the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention as well as other justice and substance abuse information to support research, policy, and program development.

National Mental Health Information Center (NMHIC)
Provides information about mental health prevention and treatment to consumers of mental health services and their families, the general public, policy makers, providers, and the media. A service of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s Center for Mental Health Services.

What Works Clearinghouse (WWC) Established by the U.S. Department of Education’s Institute of Education Sciences, the WWC serves as a central, independent, and trusted source of scientific evidence of what works in education. The WWC develops standards for reviewing and synthesizing educational research and providing its findings in several free, searchable databases.
